Sterling silver, cubic zirconia, yellow gold-plated.
A sparkling pair of stud earrings, with large pear-cuts surrounded by granule halos, suspended from marquise-cut clusters.
We were asked to design earrings for the bride that would be eye-cathing but not overwhelming in size, glamorous but not over-the-top and romantic but not overly floral. The client preferred to have pear-shapes in the earrings, and wanted them to be yellow gold-plated, to pick up on the gold embroidery in her wedding dress.
We came up with a few options using pear and marquise shapes, all inspired by the embroidery patterns in her gown. Initially, we were going to use champagne coloured pears, but ultimately chose white stones, and slighltly bigger in size than the original design.
